Fannie & Freddie: AAA 5000 billion $ wanted… hopelessly - AAA 5 trilioni di $ cercasi… perdutamente

I due amici americani l’hanno combinata grossa, al punto che sono sull’orlo del fallimento. Non è che non si sapesse, anzi …
Ora le possibilità sono due:
a) La Federal Reserve li salva e va a bagno lei, con un ulteriore crollo del dollaro e conseguente ulteriore impennata del petrolio;
b) Vengono lasciati fallire, con conseguente catena di altri fallimenti e fortissime perdite (banche, finanziarie, ecc.).
Belle alternative, no? Anche perché a pagarne le pesanti conseguenze, in un caso o nell’altro, direttamente o indirettamente, saremo tutti. Già perché, guarda caso, le perdite vengono sempre spalmate (mai i profitti).

The two American friends have done it! They are on the way to bankruptcy. It was known for a long time…
Now there are two possibilities:
a) The US Federal Reserve rescue them and goes down itself, with a further dollar drop and oil quotation rise;
b) They are left to go bankrupt, with a domino effect producing other bankruptcies and strong losses (banks, financial institutions, etc.).

Interesting options, aren’t they? Also because the heavy economic consequences, in any case, shall be paid by everybody, both directly or indirectly. Right, because it happens that losses are always spread around (never the profits).
