Regulators on Thursday and Friday shut down four banks in New York, Florida and Louisiana, raising to 30 the number of failures this year:

(New York-based) LibertyPointe Bank, 3 branches, was closed on Thursday 11th;

Three more banks were closed on Friday 12th:
> (New York-based) The Park Avenue Bank, 4 branches;
> (Orlando, Florida-based) Old Southern Bank, 7 branches;
> (Covington, Louisiana-based) Statewide Bank, 6 branches.
