Regulators on Friday April 30th seized seven banks, bringing to 64 the number of U.S. bank failures this year:

> (Mayaguez, Puerto Rico-based) Westernbank Puerto Rico;
> (Port Huron, Michigan-based) FC Bancorp;
> (Creve Coeur, Missouri-based) Champion Bank;
> (Butler, Missouri-based) BC National Banks;
> (Everett, Washington-based) Frontier Bank.
